One of those places I imagine staying from breakfast right through to night time. There are those tables by the window or in the outdoor courtyard. Then for lunch you could move to the long table. And for tea, that snug cosy area with a fireplace and gorgeous loungesets. And for dinner, the darker intimat- oh they don’t do dinner, so clear out after teatime would you.
french toast w poached pears, pecan nuts & Jock’s vanilla ice cream
Continuing my french toast spree (the one with caramelised apples at Chez Dre, those butterscotch bananas with bacon at La Miel et la Lune, the one with spiced wine poached plums at Breakfast Thieves), thick slices of organic brioche, with cinnamon & pecan nuts & sweet poached pear, and the biggest serve of vanilla ice cream. You can switch the pear out for bacon, but I felt that 8am ice cream is enough sin for the day.
That gruyere cheese & ham toastie, you know what they say about the simple things, that alone is good enough to come back for.
