brioche custard pudding, rhubarb confit & lemon mascarpone
One look at the special and there was no doubt that was the only dish anyone would be having. Brioche. Custard. Pudding.
A wonderful take on bread & butter pudding, it was steaming hot within, fluffy & light, divine with the milky bright mascarpone with lemon notes. The sweet tangy rhubarb and its syrup was the perfect finish.
It was everything I had hoped the toasted coconut & banana bread at Two Birds One Stone would be.
Simple, but as a trio - let’s just say they better make this special a regular feature.
That reminds me - what prompted my visit to sister cafe De Clieu was a brunch at Seven Seeds earlier this year.

scrambled eggs // mushroom pie
I’m fond of Seven Seeds - they do good coffee & have delectable brunches to boot. Their mushroom pie - rich & hearty with flaky puff pastry. And the scramble was light with crispy roti.
