La Boqueria is not short of good tapas, we were tempted to stray, but el Quim’s allure was undeniable. Completely different from our experience at 41° the night before, but the simplicity & freshness. Makes for the perfect breakfast.
It’s hard to get it wrong when the seafood is this fresh.

Their eggs are spectacular - caviar, mushrooms, foie gras, prawns, as you please.
Here are my top picks. I adore the padron green peppers and they are divine everywhere.

In layers, from top to bottom - rich, runny and sweet.
bull’s tail risotto
Surely I was getting too bold, I had a moment’s doubt. Had i placed too much faith in their food? Rightfully so, this was fantastic. Creamy cheesy the perfect bite, and the bull’s tail is tender gelatinous melt in your mouth.

Each and every time. It was as spectacular as it looks. Crisp crackly sides, soft silky whites, and creamy golden yolks.
