A recap; daily plate ups.

I’ve been playing catch up, with a couple more posts to go before I resume my Melbourne posts. In the meantime we stopped by Beatbox Kitchen.

I have to say the Raph doesn’t stand a chance against the Denise we had at Huxtaburger the day before.

Bistro Vue charmed us with their bay bugs again. We’re still pining for the lobster bisque & bay bug risotto we had a few months ago.

Fratellino’s, a five minute drive away is becoming a neighbourhood favourite for pizzas.

Il Bacaro Cucina’s calamari is fantastic. Ridiculously tender.

Lupino is always a winner.

The presentation isn’t as careful & precise as I remembered, but the broth is heartily delicious at Nama Nama.

Snow crabs at Pacific House & fried milk.

The pike at Shiranui replaced the mackerel. A fish just as oily.

And my favourite - miso blowtorched, so good we had to double up on this.

Simon’s Peiking Duck serves up the best peking duck in Melbourne.
