Cafe Greco in Crown was one of my favourite haunts for sweet treats many years ago. The one in South Yarra, not so much. We were in the neighbourhood and wanted to grab a quick bite before a movie. Caffe e Cucina’s kitchen didn’t open till 12pm, so we found ourselves in Cafe Greco.
Walking in, it was quite worn, with its red vinyl booths.
With the bountiful multitude of breakfast places we have in Melbourne - be it Three Bags Full, Proud Mary, St Ali, Pillar of Salt, I really don’t know how we wound up here. If I had it my way we would have been at Mama Baba, Le Petit Francais Creperie, The Final Step, The Drugstore Espresso.
