In my early uni years I lived a block or two away from Melbourne Central, and I was quite fond of the Fried Kway Teow at Chillipadi Melbourne Central. But I haven’t been back in years. We wound up at Chilli India recently, right next to Chillipadi.

The butter chicken pieces was deliciously tender in a fragrant rich sauce, this was my favourite. The naan was less oily than the roti but just as soft. The lamb pieces were quite small, in a light sauce.

The roti was hot and had a delicious crunch with each bite.

We have our fair share of rotis and curries in Malaysia, growing up I was no stranger to the gratification and satisfaction that comes with a fragrant piping hot flaky roti and a rich fragrant curry. Chilli India reminded me of how much I missed Indian food, which I haven’t had in a while.
