It’s comforting to know that I can always count on having a good night at Shira Nui. The omakase is reliably good and always incredibly fresh, especially on Tuesday nights.
On the sour side, leaving my taste buds tingling.
We sample a little of their carte menu from time to time.
Pan Fried Salmon - perfectly cooked and falls apart in your mouth.
Hot sake seems to be the new green tea creme brulee, a must order.
Tender and fragrant teriyaki beef.
The mackerel wasn’t on the menu tonight, instead we had something akin to coarse salmon tartare. Not something I’d like to repeat.
Hands down my favourite each and every time. The unmistakeable fragrance from the sear, this soft luscious miso ocean trout belly is exquisitely divine. Melt in your mouth delicious.
Kingfish belly, cold with sweet soy.
Oyster, creamy kewpie mayo.
The complimentary sorbet.
Finishing off with the green tea creme brulee, and this wondrous little pot of diced fruit and creamy ice cream cubes.
