If anyone were to ask me where they could find good Italian pasta, I have to say Lupino would be a good bet. Beautifully cooked hearty food aside, there’s something simple and honest about Lupino that makes it one of my top picks for a Friday lunch.

House baked. Simple yet the perfect crusty soft combination.

It goes with everything.

Spaghettini Marinara ($29)

Gorgeous plump fresh seafood, clams, prawns, morsels of fish, mussels, squid. The pasta itself is al dente and it has has this divine texture that makes me savour each mouthful slowly and I want to finish every last strand. My request for a napoli base was easily accommodated.

Crumbed Veal Scallopine, Radicchio, Asiago & Napoli  ($32)

They include sinful desserts in their repertoire, to which I sorrowfully had to forego - at least until Tough Mudder is done and dusted. Yes, the nutella bombolini still evades me.
