Still on my quest for quintessential Malaysian food in Melbourne, I found myself at Rasa Malaya.
Prawn Mee
The broth didn’t have the beautiful rich hearty flavour.
A generous sprinkling of fragrant salted fish on top of crunchy bean shoots.
The crispy skin was light, salty and crunchy, but the rest of the chicken was dry. The chicken rice itself wasn’t very flavoursome. And I did notice some of the other tables had received broth and condiments while I did not. Seeing as the servers weren’t particularly charming, I didn’t want to bother them with the minute details and we left shortly after, feeling quite dissatisfied. And hungry.
