Slow braise of Mushrooms & White Asparagus, Truffle Custard and Mushroom Consomme

I loved this dish. It was an exploration of sorts. Tasting and trying. A different mouthful each time.

Eight Texture Chocolate Cake Featuring Amedei Chocolate

Chocolate ganache, mousse, dacquoise, cake, praline, chocolate caramel cream, dark chocolate and a gooey hot chocolate sauce. I particularly loved how the hot chocolate sauce was poured at the table and the chocolate cake melted down the middle. I wasn’t discerning enough to taste all eight textures, but this was chocolatey goodness at its best.

White Nectarine Snow Egg

This dessert was every bit as pretty as I thought it would be. The snow egg was beautifully pristine, perched on top of a gorgeous shade of pink granita.

I’d like to say I took little pleasure in cracking the snow egg. But it was pretty satisfying to tap open the crispy sticky shell, revealing the soft meringue within.

Coffee, tea, petit fours ($8)

It was a beautiful day, surrounded by great company and amazing food. Quay is the perfect spot for a special celebration.
